We are located on the WNC Carson Campus, Bristlecone 340, phone 775-445-4451. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 8 PM, and Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.

Adult Basic Education (ABE) and General Education Development (GED)
Adult Basic Education classes are for students who need basic reading and math skills. GED preparation classes are for students who need to review for the GED exam. These classes are provided at no charge for our students.

• Flexible classes, designed to meet current student needs.
• Choose to study independently, attend a workshop, or use the learning lab.
• Select from a wide range of educational software including math and keyboarding applications.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
Several levels of non-credit ESL classes are offered for speakers of other languages who want to learn English. The classes are offered at no charge for our students.

• Beginning ESL is for students who speak some English but want more skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Intermediate ESL is for students who speak some English but want more skills in conversation, reading, and writing.
• Advanced ESL is for those who can function well in English but do not yet have skills to begin college credit classes.

The program offers computer-aided instruction. The computer lab has many software applications available for student use. A student may practice his or her English, study math skills, or practice keyboarding skills in the lab.

Inglés Como Segundo Idioma
Ofrecemos varios niveles de Ingles. Las clases seran sin costo alguno.

• Ingles para Principiantes: Es para personas que no hablan Ingles o hablan un poco y quieren aprender a escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir Inglés.
• Ingles Intermedio: Es para personas que hablan algo de Inglés pero quieren obtener mas conocimientos en lectura y escritura.
• Ingles Avanzado: Es para aquellas personas que dominan el Inglés, pero todavia no estan preparados para las clases a nivel colegial.

El program también ofrece instrución con ayuda de Computadoras. El laboratorio de Computación tiene muchos programas disponibles para uso de los estudiantes. Un estudiante puede practicar su Inglés, estudiar Matematicas, o practicar el teclado en el Laboratorio.
