| Explores the biological and evolutionary origins of humans through the examination of the fossil record, the study of primates, and the study of human biology. |

Students will have a basic understanding of:
- the principles and theories of human evolution and the origins of the human species
- the physical attributes of humans and what sets us apart from other species
- the ideas of human variation and adaptation
- the value and importance of human diversity
