Course Outline
I: Catalog Course Description
Introduces students to the archaeology and prehistory of Mesoamerica. Includes the development of complex societies in Mexico and Central America.
II: Course Objectives
Students will have a basic understanding of:
- the prehistory and archaeology of Mesoamerica
- the principles, theories, and methods of archaeological investigation
- the development of human social institutions in prehistory
- the value and importance of human diversity over time
