Course Outline
I: Catalog Course Description
Topics selected from paleoecology, taphonomy, geoarchaeology, and dating methods. Lectures, readings, and field trips cover advanced principles, method and theory, and practical applications.
II: Course Objectives
Students will have a basic understanding of:
- the principles, theories and methods of environmental archaeology.
- the development of human social institutions and technology in prehistory.
- the link between prehistoric environments and their effects on human social development.
