I : Catalog Course Description
Explores visual forms and contemporary concepts through a variety of media, presentations and discussions.
II : Course Objectives
  1. To introduce a basic understanding of the art elements and principles that govern sound design.
  2. To encourage the development of visual concepts utilizing these principles.
  3. To introduce a basic understanding of the various art mediums utilized in the Fine Art field.
  4. To develop an understanding and appreciation for the relationship between form and content.
  5. To encourage an environment of experimentation and imagination.
III : Course Linkage
Linkage of course to educational program mission and at least one educational program outcome.

Upon completion of this course, students are expected to:

• Have an understanding of the fine arts
• Have developed their problem-solving, creative, and critical thinking skills

The mission of the AA Degree Program in Fine Arts is to provide knowledge and skills for creative expression, personal enrichment, and the foundation for a career in the Fine Arts.

Upon completion of this course, it is exprected that students will have:

• developed their creative capacities
• participated in at least one cultural or artistic activity, such as a visit to a gallery or museum or attendance at a community art lecture or event
• developed an appreciation for the arts
