Course Outline

I: Catalog Course Description

Introduces students to the importance of attitude and good working relationships in the workplace. Focuses on development of strategies to improve attitude techniques for career success.
Note: Non-transferable for a NSHE baccalaureate degree. Non-applicable towards an AA or AS Degree.

II: Course Objectives

This course introduces students to the importance of attitude and good working relationships in the workplace. Focuses on development of strategies to improve attitude techniques for career success.

  • Recognize how attitude affects human relations.
  • Identify how attitude affects work productivity.
  • Recognize the importance of positive horizontal and vertical relationships in the workplace.
  • Recognize the importance of networking in the workplace.
  • Develop strategies to improve positive and constructive attitudes.
  • Identify the connection between attitude and job morale.
  • Recognize the role of attitude in minimizing job frustration and stress.
  • Recognize the role of a positive attitude in career success.
