Introduces students to the importance of effective listening and first impressions in the workplace. Focuses on evaluation and development of methods and goals setting techniques for career success.
Note: Non-transferable for a NSHE baccalaureate degree. Non-applicable towards an AA or AS Degree.

This course introduces students to the importance of effective listening and first impressions in the workplace. Focuses on evaluation and development of methods to improve listening and first impressions for career success.
- Identify the elements of effective listening.
- Identify various customer listening styles.
- Recognize barriers to effective listening.
- Apply effective listening techniques.
- Recognize the benefits of effective listening.
- Understand the impact of good listening skills on productivity.
- Recognize the importance of a positive first impression.
- Develop positive first impressions techniques.
