Course Outline

I: Catalog Course Description

Provides students and prospective employees successful interviewing skills, which include taped mock, interviews and evaluations. Interviewing attire will be addressed.
Note: Non-transferable for an NSHE baccalaureate degree. Non-applicable towards an AA or AS Degree.

II: Course Objectives

Provides students and prospective employees with successful interviewing skills, which include taped mock interviews and evaluations. Interviewing attire will be addressed.

  • Apply oral communication skills necessary for attaining employment.
  • Apply appropriate analytical skills while being interviewed.
  • Demonstrate appropriate hard- and soft-skill assets while being interviewed.
  • Demonstrate ability to research companies where employment is desired.

BUS 287B--Interviewing Techniques--meets a General Education requirement of the Associate of Applied Science Degree.
