I : Catalog Course Description
Teaches the student how to create, save, print, and reopen word processing documents. Learn the fundamentals of page layout, fonts, justification, formatting, tables, margins, tabs, indents, headers, footers, page numbers, and graphics. Teaches the fundamentals of menus, mouse icons, and templates.
II : Course Objectives

Learn to create, save print, and reopen word processing documents. Learn the fundamentals of page layout, fonts, justification, formatting, tables, margins, tabs, indents, headers, footers, page numbers, and graphics. Learn the fundamentals of menus, mouse icons, templates.

  • • Learn how to move within a document
  • • Learn to use Auto Correct, Spelling and Insert commands
  • • Learn to select text
  • • Learn to control line spacing, font and paragraph settings
  • • Learn to control page setup (margins and orientation)
  • • Learn to save the documents at HTML document
  • • Learn to use the find and replace commands.
  • • Learn to use case conversion
  • • Identify and interpret parts of the Word XP application and document window.
  • • Learn to use your mouse to select text.
  • • Perform elementary document control
  • • Lear to use Notepad
  • • Learn to use WordPad
  • • Learn to use Microsoft Word XP
  • • Learn to use the table feature
  • • Learn to use the mail merge feature
  • • Learn to create a macro
  • • Learn to insert graphics
