| Students will learn basic skills of outlook; a basic desktop information management program, including organizing a schedule, keeping track of contacts, and communicating with others. |
| II : Course Objectives |
This course is a study of Microsoft Outlook Software. Students will learn to use the following six components of Outlook: a communication tool for receiving a sending e-mail schedule events, a scheduling tool for planning events, manage contacts, tasks, notes, and journal. Students will integrate Outlook with other programs, customizing outlook and use the Internet.
- • Describe and discuss the use of the Internet and e-mail.
- • Start outlook and communicate using e-mail.
- • Use Outlook to schedule events, manage contacts, and organize data.
- • View and Make use of the calendar.
- • Import & export files, customize forms, manage files.
- • Integrate outlook with other programs.

This course is a required course in the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Construction Project Management, and may be used to fulfill the requirement in a partnership program for a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Construction Science.
The mission of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Construction Project Management is to provide management training that addresses topics of critical importance to subcontractors, general contractors, superintendents and project managers.
This course addresses the following AAS degree student learning outcomes in which the successful student will be able to demonstrate:
• Knowledge of the subject matter appropriate to the construction industry;
• Skills essential to performing tasks within the construction industry;
• Effective communication and computation skills appropriate to the construction industry:
