| Conversation and pronunciation for intermediate to advanced English language learners. Covers a variety of discussion topics, emphasizing fluency and accuracy of spoken English. |
| II : Course Objectives |
Produce fluent speech in English with classmates and instructor on a variety of topics, using different styles of communication.
- Measure: informal interviews, surveys, apir and group discussions, debates. Assignments will be evaluated sing pre-established rubrics that show an acceptable level of mastery in conjunction with self-assessments.
Demonstrate awareness of and improvement in pronunciation.
- Measure: use of self-assessments, pre and post tests and interviews with instructor using a pre-established rubric that shows an acceptable level of mastery.
Demonstrate knowledge of new vocabulary.
- Measure: homework and tests that show minimal level of mastery.
