| Studies theories and principles of speech, public speaking, discussion, interpersonal communication and oral interpretation. |
| II : Course Objectives |
Students will be able
- to communicate basic principles of effective and ethical public speaking;
- to give the student practice enacting those principles; to instill in the student a sense of the importance of public communications in shaping our lives; and to advise the student of their ethical obligations as a participant in the communication process;
- demonstrate the ability to deliver a public speech
- participate meaningfully in discussions
- deliver clear oral interpretations
