| Practices the delivery and theory in the composition of public speeches, including message development, organization and style. |
| II : Course Objectives |
Gain experience in formal presentations; develop the critical thinking about the processes of public speaking; learn about the different types and styles of formal presentations; learn how to research, plan, organize, and construct a speech; learn how to plan, coordinate, and deliver group presentations; learn how to relax, mentally prepare, and rehearse a speech; learn about the logistical elements of a presentation: room set-up, microphones, and audio-visual aids; develop own presentation style: verbal, nonverbal, and vocal; develop greater poise and self-confidence. |
