Course Outline
I: Catalog Course Description
Practices the delivery and theory in the composition of public speeches, including message development, organization and style.
II: Course Objectives
- to develop the critical thinking about the different types, styles, and emphases of formal presentations.
- to understand how the audience listens, learns, and remembers.
- to learn how to research, organize, and construct different types of social and business presentations.
- to learn how to plan, coordinate, and deliver team presentations.
- to learn how to prepare and rehearse a speech.
- to develop individual extemporaneous presentation style: verbal, nonverbal, and vocal.
