Course Outline

I: Catalog Course Description

Reviews skills and techniques for improving typing skills on computers. Word processing functions are introduced. Advanced production work includes a variety of business documents, such as letters, tables, forms, manuscripts and memos. Diagnostic prescriptive speed and accuracy are integral.

II: Course Objectives

C0T 102 reviews skills and techniques for improving typing skills on computers. Word processing functions are introduced. Advanced production word includes a variety of business documents, such as letters, tables, forms manuscripts and memos. Diagnostics prescriptive speed and accuracy are integral.

  • 1. Key straight-copy at a speed of at least 50 words-a-minute (WAM) on five minute timings with two or fewer errors per minute.
  • 2. Use PWP (Paradigm Word Processing) to create a variety of correctly formatted documents essential to the functioning of business including: Memos, E-mail messages, Letters, Business Reports, Manuscripts, Tables, Forms, Notices, Legal and Medical Documents, Desktop Publications.
