Introduces persons who have no background in computers to operations and uses of computers, their applications, capabilities and limitations. Looks at the impact of the computer on society. Includes extensive hands-on computer use.

Introduces persons who have no background in computers to operations and uses of computers, their applications, capabilities and limitations. Looks at the impact of the computer on society. Includes extensive hands-on computer use
- • Identify the physical parts of the computer, define basic terminology, and explain the general uses of computers in today's society.
- • Use Windows skills to start applications, use dialog boxes, controls, and input devices.
- • Explain the advantages of integrated software and software suites, install/uninstall and download software.
- • Work with computer files by saving and editing to various drives.
- • Understand the process of organizing files and drives.
- • Use the computer to connect to the Internet, browse and search the web, and send and receive mail.
- • Use a variety of software for spreadsheets, database, and multi-media.
- • Describe the process of buying, upgrading and expanding your PC.
