| Provides a series of beginning computer classes. Each section will deal with a different aspect of computers: basic word processing, Internet, digital photography, computer graphics, etc. |
| II : Course Objectives |
Provides a series of beginning computer classes. Each section will deal with a different aspect of computers: basic word processing, Internet, digital photography, computer graphics, etc
- 1. Identify the physical parts of the computer, define basic terminology, and explain the general uses of computers in today's society.
- 2. Use Windows skills to start applications, use dialog boxes, controls, and input devices.
- 3. Explain the advantages of integrated software and software suites, install/uninstall and download software.
- 4. Work with computer files by saving and editing to various drives.
- 5. Understand the process of organizing files and drives.
- 6. Use the computer to connect to the Internet, browse and search the web, and send and receive mail.
- 7. Use a variety of software for spreadsheets, database, and multi-media.
- 8. Describe the process of buying, upgrading and expanding your PC.
