I : Catalog Course Description
Surveys the history, philosophy and functions of criminal justice system, law enforcement, criminal law and constitutional rights as they affect system functioning.
II : Course Objectives
  • Identify criminal law and its components.
  • Identify the place in history of Law Enforcement.
  • Describe the factors of Police Management.
  • Identify criminology theory.
  • Analyze the Bill of Rights and its affect upon the Criminal Justice System.
  • Define Criminal Justice.
  • Explain the Uniform Crime Reporting process and its components.
III : Course Linkage
Linkage of course to educational program mission and at least one educational program outcome.

Analysis: Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate critical thinking skills
