| Surveys and evaluates police programs designed to prevent juvenile delinquency. Covers techniques of enforcement related to control of delinquency, investigation procedures in individual delinquency cases, and methods of referral to related agencies. |

- Associate juvenile misbehavior and official delinquency

- Analyze victimization surveys
- Categorize social class, race, and delinquency
- Locate delinquency patterns and delinquent careers

- Discuss violent offenders, loners, groups, and gangs
- Summarize explanations, theories, and research
- Analyze the social structural approaches

- Identify cultural conflict theories of delinquency

- Organize an overview of the juvenile justice system
