Course Outline

I: Catalog Course Description

Provides the knowledge and skills necessary in optimizing and providing effective QOS techniques for converged networks. Topics include implementing a VOIP network, implementing QoS on converged networks, specific IP QoS mechanisms for implementing the DiffServ QoS model, AutoQoS, wireless security and basic wireless management. Recommended preparation for the Optimizing Converged Cisco Networks exam required to become a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

II: Course Objectives

This course teaches studens troubleshooting in multi-protocol, muli-layer internetworking environment. Students gain hands-on experience troubleshooting Ehternet and Token-Ring LANs, IP and IPX networks as well as ISDN, PPP, and Frame Relay networks. Hands-on lab exercises allow the learner to practice configuration and troubleshooting knowledge and to acquire the skills necessary to configure these protocols in working networks.
