I : Catalog Course Description
Teaches beginning techniques of hip-hop dance. May be repeated for up to 4 credits.
II : Course Objectives

By the completion of the class, the students should, with 75% accuracy:

  • Know objectives and techniques of warming up.
  • Use basic terminology.
  • Perform simple dance combinations with proper body positioning.
  • Be able to choreograph short dance routines using the hip hop idiom.
III : Course Linkage
Linkage of course to educational program mission and at least one educational program outcome.

Students should:

1. Understand the importance of cultural traditions, diversity, and ethics in the modern world.
2. Have an understanding of fine arts or performing arts.
