| Teaches those concepts required by machine shops or engineering, electrical and welding industries. Student will begin with simple prints and proceed to more advanced prints. |

Demonstrate an understanding of methods used to produce drawings and blueprints.
Demonstrate the ability to interpret multiview drawings.
Demonstrate an understanding of drawing dimensions.
Demonstrate an understanding of tolerances and allowances.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing(GDT).
Demonstrate an ability to interpret fastener designations.
Demonstrate an ability to interpret welding drawings. |

The mission of the Associate of Applied Science degree in Drafting Technology is to provide employment-related knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the current drafting environment.
