| Introduces students to principles, design, construction and maintenance of the diesel motor. Activities include safety, use of manuals, selection and use of hand tools. General maintenance of a variety of systems in the diesel motor will be introduced. |
| II : Course Objectives |
1. Develop and practice safe work habits
2. Utilize hand and power tools in a safe manner
3. Work with various components of the diesel engine
4. Be familiar with machine operations
5. Diagnose the need for engine repair
6. Know various systems in the engine
7. Measurement and inspection of various components
8. Disassembly and assembly of a diesel engine |
