I: Catalog Course Description
Helps students acquire various communication skills to enhance parent/caregiver relationships. Covers interpersonal communication, listening skills and cooperative problem solving.
II: Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, student will be able to:
- Identify sources and solutions for tension in parent caregiver relationships.
- Use problem-solving techniques.
- Describe parent concerns and stresses.
- Use active-listening skills.
- Hold effective parent conferences.
- Promote parent-involvement.

This course is designed to allow students to meet the Early Childhood Education Program Learning Outcomes of ensuring that successful students will be able to:
