I: Catalog Course Description

Studies activities and materials for teaching science in the preschool.

II: Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Identify appropriate preschool science curriculum.
• Describe the meaning of a process approach in science experiences for young children.
• Plan a variety of science activities, both indoor and outside.
• Describe an appropriate science interest center for a preschool classroom.
• Demonstrate how to present and implement science activities in an early care and education classroom.
