| Introduces the prospective middle/secondary school teacher to the role of thinker/reflective practitioner. Creates awareness of the historical, social, political and economic forces influencing schooling in the United States. |
| II : Course Objectives |
EDU 202 provides secondary education majors opportunities to think about the nature of high school within a pluralistic, capitalistic democracy. The course provides field experience with secondary students, especially in a non-traditional or multicultural setting. Students will reflect on their own educational experiences to understand how those experiences will influence their teaching. Students will rehearse being reflective practitioners. |
