I : Catalog Course Description
Covers local environmental problems involving their causes, effects, and possible solutions. A variety of sensitive environmental issues including water quality, solid waste disposal, air quality, grazing, and nuclear waste storage will be examined with respect to local geographical, industrial, and political influences.
II : Course Objectives

Covers local environmental problems involving their causes, effects, and possible solutions. A variety of sensitive environmental issues including water quality, solid waste disposal, air quality, grazing, and nuclear waste storage will be examined with respect to local geographical, industrial, and political influences.

Upon completion of this course, the student will acquire an understanding of:

  • •Human-Environmental Interactions
  • •Political and Legal Procedures
  • •Public Opinion on the Environment
  • •Environmental problems that confront the state of Nevada.

ENV 292 addresses the SME division mission:
