| Introduces the student to the fundamentals of atmospheric sciences. The characteristics and behavior of the atmosphere, with special emphasis on the processes involved in weather and climate, will be studied. |
| II : Course Objectives |
Upon successful completion of Geog 117, Introduction to Meteorology & Climatology, students should have a basic understanding of the atmosphere and the basic processes that bring about weather and climate patterns. Students should also have acquired a basic understanding of the spatial relations between these entities and how these processes are influenced by human activities. |
