Course Outline

I: Catalog Course Description

Provides a study of selected topics in geology for students with little or no earth science background. Can include field experiences.

Note: Non-transferable for an NSHE baccalaureate degree. Non-applicable towards an AA or AS Degree.

II: Course Objectives

Specific course objectives will vary from topic to topic. Upon completion of this course, the successful student will have:
1)Gained factual knowledge about geology.
2)Learned fundamental principles, generalizations or theories in geology.

III: Course Linkage

Linkage of course to educational program mission and at least one educational program outcome.
