Course Outline

I: Catalog Course Description

Provides an exposure to ArcView GIS software. Students will become familiar with all aspects of this software program and its use in GIS. Students will also create a database and complete a small GIS project.

II: Course Objectives

Upon course completion, the student will acquire an understanding of:
•GIS software design
•Attribute data linkage
•Define and create a GIS project
•The concept of spatial association
