I : Catalog Course Description
Introduces web site design. Focuses on the shift from traditional print design theories to visual design in relation to the Internet and applications for designing web sites. Exercises will focus on the creation of web sites and visual design, as well as related concepts and practices.
II : Course Objectives

Students are required to learn the fundamentals of Macromedia Dreamweaver and to incorporate design principles into their web sites. Students should already have basic knowledge of the Windows platform. Upon completion of the course, students will acquire an understanding of:

  • Design techniques for web sites.
  • Web Site Nomenclature.
  • Basic HTML.
  • The use of Dreamweaver to create web pages and web sites.
  • The use of tables to create dynamic page layouts.
  • Site Management.
  • Browser differences and file size considerations.
III : Course Linkage
