| Discusses real property law, including types of concurrent ownership, easements, contracts, deeds and leases. |

- Gain factual knowledge about the real property field;
- Students will enhance their communication skills through participation in class discussions, oral presentations, and written projects;
- Students will improve their critical thinking skills through basic legal analysis of case law and statutes.

Real Property is a required course in the Paralegal Program.
The AAS Mission is to provide the academic knowledge and skill training necessary for employment as a paralegal.
This course addresses the following five AAS degree student learning outcomes:
Students are expected to demonstrate that they -
1. know the basic principles of real property law;
2.
a.analyze and interpret case law and statutes and regulations;
b.locate newly decided cases and recent trends in real property law;
3. appreciate the importance of ethics in real property law, and the responsibility of members of the legal profession to society. |
