| Prepares students for MATH 95. Helps students who have experienced difficulties with math to get an introduction to the language and concepts of algebra. Provides a transition from self-paced, basic math to the quick pace required in MATH 95. |
| II : Course Objectives |
Math 93B is a prequel to Math 95. This course is designed to help students who have experienced difficulties with math get an introduction to the language and concepts of algebra. This will help students transition from basic math to the quick pace required in Math 95.
- Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to work with the following:
- 1. Prime and composite numbers
- 2. Properties of and operations on signed numbers
- 3. Linear equations
- 4. Ratios, Rates and Proportions
- 5. Solving applied problems
- 6. Rectangular Coordinate System
- 7. Graphing Linear equations
- 8. Square Roots and Pythagorean Theorem
