| Provides environment and management of the small business enterprise, problems in initiating the business, financial and administrative control, marketing programs and policies, management of business operations, legal and governmental relationships. |

- Set goals and develop ideas for business opportunities.
- Analyze the market and financial feasibility of business ideas.
- Determine the financial needs and also the sources of funding to start or buy a business.
- Devise practical marketing, promotion, sales ideas, and methods.
- Develop and implement appropriate management and financial controls.
- Prepare a comprehensive business plan to start, purchase, or evaluate a small business.
