• Reviews basic TQM concepts of leadership, customer satisfaction, employee involvement, continuous process improvement, and performance measures result in a continual and simultaneous improvement of both quality and productivity.
• Discusses the tools and techniques of TQM such as benchmarking, information technology, quality management systems, environmental management systems, quality by design, products liability, management tools, statistical process control, and experimental design.
• Reviews basic principles of quality control using probability and statistical techniques.
• Provides insights into data collection techniques and properly interpret results.
• Introduces tools for creativity, planning, process analysis, and problem solving.
• Discusses the approach and process using data to improve quality performance.
