| Aimed at beginning riders, this program introduces students to motorcycle controls, motorcycle riding, basic maneuvers, street riding and traffic skills. All levels of experience are welcome. Students must be at least 16 years of age with a class C or A license; for anyone who is 16 to 18 it is strongly recommended to call the Community Education office for the latest DMV regulations to obtain a class M endorsement. Students MUST be able to ride a bicycle. Upon successful completion students will receive an endorsement card to take to Nevada DMV to get a class M motorcycle endorsement added to a class C or A license. ATTENDANCE AT ALL SESSIONS IS MANDATORY. IF STUDENTS ARE LATE, EVEN BY TWO MINUTES, MISS A CLASS, ARE DISMISSED FROM CLASS OR DO NOT ATTEND, THEIR CLASS FEE IS FORFEITED. ANOTHER PERSON CAN NOT BE SUBSTITUTED FOR A PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED STUDENT. This is a difficult program; students may be dismissed if their lack of progression endangers themselves or fellow classmates. THE FOLLOWING CLOTHING IS REQUIRED: eye protection such as glasses, gloves with fingers (no skin exposed), long sleeved shirt or jacket, over the ankle boots and long pants. Motorcycle and helmet provided. THE FOLLOWING ARE SUGGESTED ITEMS TO HAVE WHILE OUT ON THE COURSE: lawn chair, sun screen, snacks and fluids.
