| Expands the student's manual skills by putting into practice the theories, and user skills introduced in MTT 105B. The emphasis will be geared to a more practical, hands-on experience through the use of lathes, layout techniques, vertical and horizontal band saws, measuring instruments and some vertical mill work. Shop safety and cleanup are always stressed. |
| II : Course Objectives |

After successful completion of this course, the student will have the basic skills to use standard measuring instruments, setup and operate a lathe, (turn a Diameter, single point a Thread, Knurl and Bore), as well as sharpen various cutting tools, and calculate operating, feeds and speeds. |

This course may be chosen to fulfill a Degree Requirement for the Machine Tool Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree and Certificate of Achievement.
