| Studies basic guitar technique, bluegrass, classical and rock styles. No previous musical training required. |
| II : Course Objectives |

By the completion of the class, the students should, with an accuracy of 75%:
- Work in ensemble with other instruments.
- Read notes on a staff.
- Strum chords in six keys.
- Pick melodies and combine them with chords.
