Course Outline
I: Catalog Course Description
Offers musical theatre techniques for singers, actors, pianist/coaches and stage managers, including production and performance.
II: Course Objectives
By the completion of the class, the students should, with an accuracy of 75%:
- Perform dance steps and songs in the role in which they are cast.
- Describe of the work they are performing in relation to other works written during this time.
- Use basic theatrical terminology
- Discuss character and plot development of the work studied.
III: Course Linkage
Linkage of course to educational program mission and at least one educational program outcome.
Students should:
1. Know the subject matter appropriate to the musical theater degree.
2. Succeed at transfer institutions
