| Introduces plant, soil and water science as applied to agriculture in Nevada. Includes a discussion of fertilization, irrigation, botany, soil conservation, and pollution. |
| II : Course Objectives |
- To provide understanding of soils as dynamic ecological systems supporting plant life.
- Identification and interpretation of soil properties, soil and plant ecological site relationships.
- Use of Soil Surveys.
- List three advantages each of organic and inorganic fertilizers.
- Demonstrate three common methods of fertilizer application.
