| Covers nonsymbolic introduction to logical thinking in everyday life, law, politics, science, advertising; common fallacies; and the uses of language, including techniques of persuasion. |
| II : Course Objectives |
To bring the students of this course to new levels of understanding of:
- The usage of language as a precise tool of communication.
- The development of logical analysis of statements and arguments.
- The various forms of fallacies commonly used in everyday discourse. To bring the student to an understanding of logical and reasonable usages of language, and the capability of recognizing illogical discourse when confronted with it.
