The Social Science, Education, Humanities and Public Service Division at WNC offers Associate of Applied Science and Associate of Arts degrees, certificates of achievement, and special academic programs. Disciplines include anthropology, counseling, criminal justice, education, health education, home economics, history, humanities, law, philosophy, political science, psychology, recreation and physical education, social work and sociology. The mission of the division is to prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and/or to provide them with the knowledge they need for their careers.
