WNC offers several programs that can help high school students "jump start" their college education.
The CTECC program allows students to earn college credit for occupation courses taught at their local high school at no per class cost to the student.
Dual credit is a program that allows high school students to earn both college and high school credits simultaneously. Each high school in the WNC service area determines which WNC courses can also count as high school credit. High school students that successfully complete approved WNC courses may have the college credit also apply towards high school graduation.
WNC offers designated college courses via Internet or interactive video at a discounted rate to high school students. Fast Track courses generally cost only $50 plus lab fees where applicable. Only courses that are designated as Fast Track are offered at this reduced rate.
