The Information Technology degree is designed to prepare students to perform a variety of duties ranging from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and maintaining information systems. Systems administrators can work in a variety of environments including manufacturing, health care, education, or state and local government agencies. Every business has some kind of IT needs, and a graduate of this program will have a broad base of theory in and hands-on practice with many aspects of technology, especially the use of electronic devices and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information.
