Computer Information Technology CIT 165B: Introduction to Convergence
The convergence of three technologies, voice, video and data, into a single network, is a major development in computer and communications technology. This course introduces students to the basic concepts of convergence industry standards and protocols, infrastructure, signaling, basic telephony, voice-over IP, topology convergence, and the skills required to perform jobs related to these technology. All classes are full length semester courses (Summer 2008 is June 9–August 2) unless otherwise noted. NOTE: Classes with low registration numbers may result in the class being canceled.
