Computer Information Technology CIT 173: Linux Installation and Configuration
Introduces the student to the GNU/Linux operating system. Covers installation and configuration of several distributions of GNU/Linux. Graphical user interfaces, command-line configuration, security, and system administration will be emphasized. Prepares students for industry accepted GNU/Linux System Administration Certification. All classes are full length semester courses (Fall 2008 is August 25–December 13) unless otherwise noted. NOTE: Classes with low registration numbers may result in the class being canceled.
