Construction CONS 262B: Above-Floor Inspections for Certified Inspector
Provides instruction on all of the above-floor components typical of residential construction. Seismic and structural hardware will be discussed as will load-bearing, load-transferring and non-load-bearing assemblies. Extensive mechanical and electrical systems analyses will be conducted. Students will prepare extensive narrative inspection reports for evaluation, and sign "hold harmless" waivers when conducting inspections off state property. Students are strongly encouraged to have medical insurance that provides coverage in the event of a job-site injury. See all Construction courses in the schedule of classes.

All classes are full length semester courses (Fall 2008 is August 25–December 13) unless otherwise noted. NOTE: Classes with low registration numbers may result in the class being canceled. Students are encouraged to register and pay early to reduce the chance of class cancellation. NEW EARLIER PAY DATE: Payment is due for full-term fall 2008 classes by August 15, 2008.
