At time of registration please indicate if you are taking this class for your Nevada motorcycle endorsement or to update your skills. For those seeking an endorsement you will be required to successfully pass the written and skills test. The ERC is a one day class; choose a Saturday or a Sunday. The class time is from 7 am to 4 pm with a one hour lunch break. Student's must be on time, attend the full class or you will forfeit your tuition. REQUIRED: Students must bring their own helmet; this helmet must be an approved Department of Transportation (DOT) helmet. All helmets will be inspected for proper fit, condition and DOT certification. Students must bring their own motorcycle with proof of current insurance and Nevada registration. Motorcycles must be Nevada street legal and be in good working condition. If you are borrowing a motorcycle for this class you will also need written permission from the registered owner, copy of their Nevada registration and proof of insurance. You must wear long pants, long sleeve shirt or jacket, boots that cover your ankles, gloves that cover all of the skin of your hands and fingertips, eye protection such as sung glasses, prescription glasses, goggles of face shield on your helmet. SUGGESTED: Folding chair, snacks, fluids, sun screen and a hat with a brim. If you do not have a motorcycle endorsement on your Class A or C license then you must trailer your motorcycle to the class. If you have a Class M permit you must be accompanied to and from the class with someone who has the Class M on their license. Students will receive an endorsement card upon successful completion of the course for you to take to your local Department of Motor Vehicles and have them put the Class M endorsement on your Nevada license. The curriculum we teach is "Motorcycle Safety Foundation" a nationally recognized motorcycle safety program. Check with your insurance carrier as they may offer you a discount for having attended and successfully passed this course. They and DMV will want to see your endorsement card. Out of state residents are welcome to enroll. However, please check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles to verify if they will accept a motorcycle endorsement from the State of Nevada. WNC does offer a motorcycle maintenance class. Check the WNC Web site, www.wnc.edu under class schedule for motorcycle maintenance or call 775 445-4268.
