Conference Information
The National Junior College Athletic Association is made up of more than 550 schools from more than 40 states around the country. The colleges are divided into 24 regions. WNC is a member of Region XVIII which is made up of schools from Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. There are 188 junior colleges competing for the Division I national championship in baseball each year and hundreds more competing for Division II and III baseball championships. The Scenic West Athletic Conference has six members that compete in Division I baseball: College of Eastern Utah, College of Southern Idaho, College of Southern Nevada, Colorado Northwestern Community College, Salt Lake Community College, and Western Nevada College. The conference is a wood bat league that is noted for its strength of schedule and high caliber players.
Three SWAC conference teams have won national championships in the last 20 years, and in 2007, Western Nevada College competed at the National Junior College World Series, finishing in the top five teams. Scenic West Conference Standings
