Academic Dates: Fall 2012

The Fall 2012 semester is from August 27, 2012 to December 15, 2012. All dates are in 2012 unless otherwise noted.

April

• April 23: Registration begins via myWNC for credit classes for returning and continuing students
  
• April 30: Registration begins via myWNC for new students
  

July

• July 2: Last day to complete financial aid application and checklist items, and to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards, in order to receive aid in time for Fall 2012 fees to be paid by class cancellation deadlines
  

August

• August 8: Last day to apply for admission as a degree or certificate seeking student for Fall 2012
  
• August 10: students who have not made this payment may be removed from 100% of classes; Full payment (100%) due by 5 p.m. for all classes or first payment due for 3-Pay plan
  
• August 24: short-term classes added after this date must be paid for in full at the time of registration; students who have not made this payment may be removed from 100% of classes; Full payment (100%) due by 5 p.m. for all classes or first payment due for 2-Pay plan; Last day to sign up for a payment plan
  
• August 27: Fall 2012 semester begins
  
• August 31: Last day to add full-term classes through myWNC; Last day to drop full-term classes for 100% refund
  

September

• September 4: Even exchange of credits for full-term classes begins with a special enrollment request form to Admissions and Records
  
• September 7: students who have not made this payment may be removed from 100% of classes; Full payment (100%) due by 5 p.m. for all classes, unless payment plan arrangements have been previously made
  
• September 10: even exchange of credits ends; Payment in full must be made before a student may be reinstated into a full-term class; a special enrollment request form must be submitted to Admission and Records; $25 late payment fee applies; Second payment due for 3-Pay plan; after this date, unpaid balance is subject to a late payment fee of 10% or $10, whichever is greater
  
• September 24: Second and final payment due for 2-Pay plan; after this date, unpaid balance is subject to a late payment fee of 10% or $10, whichever is greater
  

October

• October 10: Third and final payment due for 3-Pay plan; after this date, unpaid balance is subject to a late payment fee of 10% or $10, whichever is greater
  
• October 20: Last day to change credit to audit or audit to credit for full-term classes through myWNC
  
• October 26: Last day to drop full-term classes with a "W"
  

December

• December 10: Final examinations begin
  
• December 15: Fall 2012 semester ends
